How often should I come?

This is probably the most common question we get asked. The answer depends on your treatment goals. Here, we will outline some basic guidelines; but as always, feel free to contact us if you would like to discuss options for a customized plan.

MASSAGE: Are you comfortable with the way your body feels and moves - aches and pains, range of motion, etc? If so, we recommend regular maintenance sessions once every month.

FUN FACT: Our Central Nervous System (CNS) is an amazing thing, but sometimes it can be a bit tricky to navigate. It is constantly working to keep us as happy, healthy, and safe as possible. When we consider trying something unfamiliar, (such as a new service, a new place, or a new therapist), we may subconsciously be "on guard". For some of us, new experiences can feel quite intimidating. Others have had an unpleasant experience, such as having a massage that was painful or using facial products that irritated the skin. So we often have to ease the nervous system into the new relationship. To illustrate: When first being introduced to a new acquaintance, you may exchange a polite nod. The second time you meet, you're more familiar with one another; you smile, and you reach out to shake hands. By the third time you see one another, you are now relaxed and comfortable with a warm embrace of friendship. Our CNS can at times act in a similar way. The more often you receive treatments, the more the nervous system relaxes. And the more at ease the nervous system is, the more the body and skin are able to respond in positive and profound ways, enabling you to achieve deeper and longer lasting results.
